At PuppyGuyz, our top priority is the health and well-being of your new puppy. That's why we've perfected a delivery process that is both safe and stress-free. We want to be completely transparent: we don't have a physical kennel or showroom in the Bronx. Instead, we see this as a major benefit for both you and your puppy. Our model eliminates the stress of a pet store environment and ensures your new family member comes from a state-of-the-art facility directly to the comfort of your home.
Most of our puppies arrive at their new Bronx address via our trusted ground transport partners. A Trusted Veterinarian in the Bronx for Your Puppy's First Check-Up
One of the first and most important steps after your puppy arrives is their first wellness check-up. Establishing a relationship with a great local veterinarian is key to a long and healthy life for your dog. While we encourage you to do your own research, we wanted to highlight a clinic that receives wonderful feedback from the community. For your puppy's important first wellness check, many Bronx residents trust Riverdale Veterinary Group. Their team is consistently praised for their compassionate care and gentle handling of new puppies, which can make that first visit a positive experience. Located conveniently in the Bronx, their excellent reputation for being thorough and welcoming makes them a wonderful choice to consider for your new family member's healthcare needs.
Getting Ready for Your Puppy in the Bronx
Preparing your home for a new puppy is an exciting time! To make sure you're ready for your furry friend's arrival, here is a simple checklist of things to do in the Bronx:
This is a legal requirement and an important first step. All dogs in the Bronx must be licensed by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. You can easily apply online, and it helps ensure your dog can be returned to you if they ever get lost.
Whether you're in a spacious home or an apartment in the Bronx, look at your space from a puppy's perspective. Secure loose wires, move houseplants out of reach, and create a designated "safe space" with a comfy bed and crate to keep your puppy secure.
Before your puppy arrives, pick up essentials like a collar, leash, food and water bowls, and toys. Support a local business by checking out The Doggie Bag in Riverdale. They offer top-quality pet food and supplies and can provide helpful recommendations for your new puppy.

Your Bronx Puppy Delivery FAQs
Can you deliver to my specific neighborhood in the Bronx?
Absolutely. Our door-to-door delivery service covers the entire borough of the Bronx. Whether you live in Riverdale, the South Bronx, Pelham Parkway, Throgs Neck, Co-op City, or any neighborhood in between, our professional transport partners will deliver your puppy safely to your front door.
What are the payment options for my puppy?
We've designed our payment model to build trust and give you complete peace of mind. We require a 50% deposit to reserve your chosen puppy. The remaining balance is only due upon delivery when your new furry family member is safely in your arms. This ensures you are completely happy and confident in your decision before final payment.
What's the first thing I should do with my puppy in the Bronx?
The first 24 hours are all about gentle acclimation. Let your puppy explore their new home at their own pace. Introduce them to their crate or bed, show them where their food and water are, and establish a designated potty spot. Avoid overwhelming them with too many visitors right away. Once they've settled in, your next step should be scheduling that first wellness visit with a trusted Bronx veterinarian.
